This section of the site focuses on the Irish gangs and gangsters. Gangs Like 'The Westies' the notorious band of outlaws who ran wild causing mayhem on the streets of New York's Hell's Kitchen district. 'The Winter Hill Gang' from Boston's Northend led by Howie Winter is also featured. Read about Whitey Bulger one of the most dangerous mobsters to walk the streets of Boston.....and who is still at large and on the FBI's most wanted list. Jimmy Coonan the infamous leader of The Westies who as a teenager stood at the top of a tenement building and fired indescriminately at rival gang leader Mickey Spillane and his men. These guys and the others in this section were among the most feared criminal Irish men in America.
